Mandel's food market 2023 was a success, according to the organizers. This weekend, the event returns to Sara kulturhus, but this time it will be held in a larger venue with more food producers participating.
"Mandel's food market is now a recurring event where all Skellefteå residents will have the chance to taste and buy food and drinks from our excellent local producers, explains project manager Jonathan Åhström in a press release.
On September 21, the market will take over the southern foyer of the cultural center, and according to the organizers, over 20 exhibitors will participate. All of Sara’s restaurants will also offer selections from their respective autumn menus.
Åhström says the ambition for the food market is high.
– Berries from Glommersträsk, rabbit from Kåge, gin from Skelleftehamn are just a few of the exhibitors, and our goal is for visitors to experience new flavors, enjoy a wonderful event, and go home with sustainable, locally-produced products for dinner, he says.
