When the rescue service arrived, there was an out of control fire.
The emergency services were alerted by someone who saw a fire in a couple of buildings shortly after 02:00 am. When firefighters arrived, they found a warehouse and a garage building were burning out of control.
– From what I understand, they're two separate buildings. There's also a third fire in a garage, said SOS operator Amanda Nordström.
By 03:30 one of the garages was completely destroyed. The first two fires were then fully extinguished, but firefighters were still trying to locate and extinguish small fires in the other garage. The fires were in a densely populated area and there was some initial risk of spread. Shortly after 05:00, the fire was no longer threatening to spread, but firefighters were still on the scene.
– When it burns strongly like that, it can reignite, and it did. That's why we're there now, just to put out the fire, said Nordström at 05:15.
Foul play is suspected. Three reports were filed overnight - two for vandalism and one for arson.
As of Wednesday morning, there were no suspects in custody.
Police have been patrolling and searching the area.
