Last winter, the first season of "Högspanning" was broadcast on Viaplay and TV3. It was a promising start for the series, which received a Kristallen nomination in the "Viewers' Favorite Program" category.
"One of the goals we had with our participation in 'Högspänning' was to showcase the important work we do to secure deliveries and drive the green transition for future employees. Already, we see results in the form of an increased number of applications for vacant positions and about a hundred spontaneous applications, says Mirjam Bellgran, HR manager at Skellefteå Kraft in a press release.
It is with this development that Mirjam Bellgran welcomes a new season of "Högspänning".
"Thousands of employees will still be needed in the industry in the coming years, so our work is not done".
Schools that train students in the energy industry have seen an upswing in applications since the series began.
One example is Lapplands Lärcentra in Jokkmokk, which offers vocational training at the high school level for distribution technicians and hydropower technicians.
– In previous years, we didn't fill all the training places. Now we have full groups. About half of those who applied said they had seen 'Högspänning', says Susanne Andersson, director of Lapplands Lärcentra.
Skellefteå Kraft is carrying out this initiative in collaboration with Vattenfall under the leadership of the production company Delta Studios and in partnership with Energiföretagen Sverige.
Recording locations for season two include Robertsfors, Skellefteå, Malå, Arvidsjaur, Lycksele, and Mellanström.
