Several flights have been delayed at Arlanda and Bromma airports, reports Aftonbladet. The reason is fog.
–The fog has mainly affected Bromma, but the weather forecast says it will clear up in the morning. However, passengers who cannot leave at all and whose flights have been canceled should check with the airlines, says Frida Yones, spokeswoman for Swedavia.
According to the newspaper, there could be both flight cancellations and delays, which could affect flights later in the day.
The flight from Skellefteå airport to Arlanda at 09:40 was delayed by 40 minutes.
– Apparently it's because of the fog. There may be further delays now, says Robert Lindberg, CEO of Skellefteå Airport.
He advises those flying on Monday to stay informed.
–The airline is in contact with its passengers. Keep an eye on the airline's schedule. Fog is very fleeting, it can dissipate quickly, says Lindberg.
Umeå Airport was also affected by delays on Monday morning.
– It's about an hour's delay from Arlanda and two hours from Bromma, but that can change quickly, B-O Lindgren, head of Umeå Airport, tells VK.
Weather conditions are being closely monitored, but it is difficult to say how long delays will last.
– Unfortunately, we will just have to wait and see. The forecasts are based on SMHI's forecasts, and we hope that the weather will clear up as soon as possible, says B-O Lindgren.
