Trustee: Scaled-back Northvolt operations to continue

The Northvolt factory will likely continue operating at a reduced level than today. This is what bankruptcy trustee Mikael Kubu wrote in an email to Norran on Friday evening.
– We have made significant progress in negotiations to ensure continued operations, he says.

According to Mikael Kubu, the primary focus this week has been investigating the feasibility of continued operations, as this is considered crucial for attracting potential buyers. However, any continued operation will be on a reduced scale compared to the current setup. The specifics of this will be presented to relevant parties next week.

– It is our hope that a buyer can then assume operational control, Kubu writes.

He also indicates that he sees strong potential for selling the business as a battery cell producer. Whether this implies the discontinuation of a business like Revolt, which specialises in battery recycling, remains uncertain at this time.

– At this juncture, I have no further comments. More comprehensive information will be released during the upcoming week, Kubu writes.
