You may see and hear a number of fighter aircraft over Skellefteå in the coming days. A large military exercise is conducted in the north of Sweden between 5 and 14 March and a number of fighter aircraft may land and take off from Skellefteå Airport. Swedish Radio P4 were first to report this.
The exercise is called Nordic Response 2024 and entails military aircraft, personnel and vehicles moving in areas where they are not normally seen, the Armed Forces writes on its website.
The exercises are carried out all hours of the day and during the air exercise period that starts on 5 March there may be some fighter aircraft landing and taking off from the airports in Skellefteå and Arvidsjaur.
