Norran has conducted a soft serve showdown in central Skellefteå, focusing on the area enclosed by Manhemsgatan (east), Järnvägsleden (north), Skråmträskvägen (south), and Baldergymnasiet (west).
To ensure a fair comparison, all soft serve orders were purchased without toppings. We opted for the medium size when three options were available, and the larger size when only two were offered. The ice cream, minus the spoon, was weighed to determine the price per gram. While not a scientific experiment, this test provides a general indication of the best value for your money.
Let's dive into the results, starting with the least generous servings and working our way up to the ultimate ice cream champion!

FIRST!
Stigs Konditori
On a cloudy Saturday in early August, Norran purchased a large soft serve ice cream at Stigs for 37 kronor. Per Boström, operations manager at Stigs Konditori and the mastermind behind the winning ice cream, is thrilled with the results.
– It's fantastic! We've been around for a long time and have always aimed to offer affordable coffee and ice cream, he said.
The company is owned by the same family that operates Ainas, which secured third place in the competition for the largest ice cream serving. This makes for a double victory for Boström:
– It's great to have both the biggest and the best value ice cream!
