Originally planned for Umeå, the event is relocating due to space constraints.

– We were happy to be in Skellefteå two years ago, and this year presented a perfect opportunity, says Robert Norrhede, event manager at Geraud Markets Sweden.

–  Umeå was a success last year, but the venue situation just didn't work out.

The festival will be held around the city park and town hall from August 21 to 25, offering a chance for Skellefteå residents and visitors alike to embark on a global culinary adventure. Prepare for a tantalizing variety, from Polish delights and Hungarian langos to Transylvanian specialties like stuffed peppers and cevapcici.

This year's highlight might be the Venezuelan arepas, known for their messy deliciousness.

– Fair warning, Norrhede advises with a smile:

– Dress casually for this one!

He also mentions a Chilean family bringing their empanada expertise.

Norrhede suggests approaching the festival like a tapas crawl.

– Gather your family or friends and share the portions. This way, you can experience a wider range of flavors without getting overwhelmed.
