Rustique has been closed for a few weeks after it was announced that it would be shutting down to make way for something new. On Thursday, the doors reopened and guests were welcomed to a sneak preview of the new concept - Rustique Coctail Club.

– It feels great to be up and running. There's been such an incredible change here, so it's going to be really fun for everyone else to see. We are super happy, says Nadia Wallmark, who runs the business with Hans Hallberg.

To the sounds of Veronica Maggio's latest album, the final details were being prepared for Thursday night, and just before the opening, the very last touches were being put in place.

– It's all happened so fast. The tables arrived yesterday and I thought we wouldn't have time to set everything up. But now everything is perfect, says waitress Lova Myrgren.

There has been talk of a possible name change, but the owners have decided to stick with Rustique, adding Coctail Club to the end.

– Having a lot of drop-in spots to hang out in is important to us. We want people to be able to just pop by and have something, not to have to book everything in advance. But if you're a larger group, and you want to make a reservation for a table, that shouldn't be a problem either, says Nadia.

During the soft opening, many excited people showed up to mingle, sip champagne, and check out the new interior. The new concept opens to the public on Friday. Nadia says that the people of Skellefteå have shown a lot of interest.

– A lot of people are contacting us, wanting to book a table or take a look. But our message is that everyone will be welcome on Friday.
