In Skellefteå, temperatures are expected to reach up to 32 degrees in some areas, which appears to be the highest temperatures in the country during the day. It will be hottest in the city center and a few miles inland, while the coast is expected to have temperatures around just below 30 degrees.

The high temperatures will persist during the beginning of the week, but afternoon showers are expected as early as Tuesday afternoon. A larger rain area is forecasted to pass through on Thursday evening, causing a drop in temperature, according to Emma Härenstam, a meteorologist at SMHI.

What about the Midsummer weather?

– According to the latest forecast, the rain area is expected to pass by during the night to Friday, and on Midsummer's Day, we can expect sunshine and temperatures around 20 degrees, says Emma.
