Northvolt Ett is a subsidiary of Northvolt AB and owns the factory in Skellefteå.

In October, Mark Duchesne resigned as CEO, and now Dagens Industri reports that Peter Carlsson has left his role as chairman of the company. 

"The new chairman of Northvolt Ett is Paul O'Donnell, according to a notification to the Swedish Companies Registration Office," writes Di.

"Paul O'Donnell is indeed the new chairman of Northvolt Ett," confirmed Erik Zsiga, press spokesperson for Northvolt, in a statement to Di.

O'Donnell is thought to have experience with an American corporate restructuring process, called chapter 11.

According to Di, Northvolt Ett's new chairman has previously "stepped into several companies with serious financial problems". Among other things, he sat on the board of the company Nordic Aviation Capital, which applied for corporate restructuring in the USA through a chapter 11 process.

He also describes himself as a "financial restructuring advisor" on Linkedin.

– As you can see, he has a strong background of driving reorganisation and restructuring in boards, which is obviously relevant for Northvolt Ett in view of the strategic review, Zsiga tells Di.

Peter Carlsson remains CEO of the parent company, Northvolt AB.
