At 14.15 the SOS alarm was received. It concerned an apartment building on Morö Backe.
– We haven't arrived there yet. The police and emergency services are on their way, says Elin Andersson, press officer for the police.
Update 14.35
– It's a very big operation, says Norran's reporter Victor Svenfelt, who is there.
He says that there are four rescue vehicles, one of which has a crane. There is also a police car and two ambulances.
– I see smoke coming from an apartment building. The ambulance is now leaving the scene with lights on but no sirens.
Update 14:43
– There is still a lot of smoke. Now they have started some kind of machine that I think will be used to ventilate the building, says Victor Svenfelt.
Update 14.53
– There are currently two ambulances with one ambulance taking a person to hospital. There are seven emergency services on the scene and three more on the way. They arrived at the scene at 14:23 and noticed the development of smoke, says Ola Åström, team leader at SOS Alarm.
Update 14.57
– Now the smoke from the building has stopped. Several rescue vehicles arrive, including another ambulance and a water tanker. But they don't seem to be needed at the moment. The place is quieter. Smoke is still coming out of the house, but there is much less stress than a quarter of an hour ago, says Norran's Victor Svenfelt.
Update 15.03
– Now the water tanker is leaving, and the firefighters start to pull the water hoses out of the house, reports Svenfelt.
Update 15.12
– The police are now entering the building. Another ambulance leaves the scene, but it seems to be empty. Even ambulances are leaving now. But there are still several vehicles around; I still see five fire trucks, says Svenfelt.
Update 15.23
- It is calm at the site and they are starting to clear up.
Update 15.34
The fire is now out.
Update 15.53
Norran's reporter Victor Svenfelt has spoken with police inspector Åsa Isaksson, who does not want to give details but says that the area is cordoned off.
– She could not answer whether there is any criminal suspicion, but she's going to the station now to sort it out, says Svenfelt.
