HSB last built condominiums three years ago with the Guldläge project near the bus station, which is nearing completion.
The last large-scale development in Skellefteå was Riksbyggen's two tower blocks on Getberget in October 2022.
Subsequently, the war in Ukraine, escalating construction costs, rising interest rates, and overall uncertainty hindered new developments.
Only now does HSB deem conditions stable enough to initiate a new project. Construction is slated to commence this summer, with potential move-ins towards the end of 2027.
Two high-rises will be erected behind the old post office, east of Sara kulturhus. Pre-registration sales began on October 17. One of the two buildings, situated within the courtyard with access to Kanalgatan, was offered first. This building will house 48 apartments, ranging from one to five rooms. Over both buildings there will be 95 apartments, ranging in cost from 1,595,000 kronor to 5,595,000 kronor.
– We received 70 registrations, and real estate agents are now contacting interested parties based on their HSB points, says Mattias Lundström. Once this initial phase is complete, the remaining units will be open for general booking.
