The repair work due to the leak was started on Friday morning. On its website Skellefteå municipality writes that water can be collected from a water trailer on Älgvägen for those who have no water. The water is expected to be turned back on sometime on Friday.

At the same time the municipality writes that there may be discoloured water in the area ”due to changes in flow in connection with the leak”. Those who have discoloured water should flush the cold-water taps ”and it should sort itself out”.
