The circus was founded in 1899 by Carl Rhodin, better known by his stage name "Brazil Jack". Today, the circus is run by his great-grandchild, Trolle Rhodin.
Brazil Jack is once again on tour and will be setting up their tent at Sjungande dalen next week.
– It feels great to return to Skellefteå," says circus director Rhodin.
He also says that the show will be "Las Vegas-level". Among the acts, there will be acrobats performing in a downpour and motorcycles riding in a large metal sphere.
– This year, we're taking acrobatics to a new level, he adds.
Since 2018, the circus has been animal-free.
– I don't think animals should be in the circus; there is so much else we can offer the audience, says Rhodin.
