The ticket, listed in a Skellefteå AIK supporter Facebook group, promises "the best seat" for both tonight's game 5 and, should it come to that, a deciding game 7. The astronomical price reflects the heightened emotions as AIK eyes championship glory on home ice.
The anonymous seller, who originally purchased the ticket for a more reasonable 2,700 kronor at the season's outset, readily admits the 15,000 kronor price is a little over-priced.
– It's a bit of a stretch, he confesses.
– If there's no serious interest, I'll just bring a friend.
The friend route would be a far more affordable option, with the price dropping back down to the original 670 kronor
Håkan Billing, Skellefteå AIK's sales and marketing manager, confirms the scorching demand for tickets to these crucial final matches.
– The tickets were gone almost as soon as they were released, he says.
We offered a pre-sale to our members, and there weren't many left for the general public.
– But I don't think it feels right that someone makes so much money froma ticket. It doesn't feel reasonable.
