Hooja had a great success when they visited the first edition of Summertime a few years ago. The newcomers' concert attracted a lot of attention and a much bigger audience than the superstar Zara Larsson. Now the duo is returning to the festival when they take to the main stage on the evening of Friday, June 28.
In interviews, the music duo has cited their previous performance at Summertime as a career highlight.
– If you look back, the performance in Skellefteå probably stands out, Hooja told VK last summer.
Hooja will also perform in their home county of Norrbotten next summer, when they play at Södra Hamnplan in Luleå the evening after their performance in Skellefteå. The duo promises a big concert there.
Hooja won the prize for best group at P3 Guld earlier this year. They were also nominated for Best Newcomer at the Grammis Gala. They have even released their own mobile game and beer. Their biggest hit "Banan Melon Kiwi & Citron" has 45 million streams on Spotify.
The duo was the most requested artist during this year's Musikhjälpen on SVT and SR.
The elk that the duo brought with them on tour - and on the red carpet - was hunted west of Skellefteå and stuffed in Boliden.
The Summertime Music & Life Festival will take place at the Norrvalla sports area between June 27 and 30. Pop star Molly Sandén and rapper Asme are already confirmed for the festival.
