Police were also dispatched to the barracks area in Ursviken to assist emergency services. According to Hanna Josefsson, a reporter for Norran who was on-site, approximately five police officers were present to ensure people remained outside the cordon established by emergency services. The officers also conducted interviews with witnesses.
Maria Linné, a police spokesperson, is currently unable to comment on whether there is any suspicion of criminal activity related to the fire.
– I don't have that information yet, Linné said.
– The officers on-site haven't reported back yet.

Eight units from the emergency services are still on site, having contained the fire. Smoke development persists, necessitating their continued presence for an estimated 30 minutes. Smoke divers were deployed by the emergency services to ensure no one was inside the premises.
The fire originated in a barrack building, but the extent of the damage remains unknown at this time. An ambulance, though initially dispatched, returned as no injuries were reported.
