Skellefteå Buss launched the new bus line number 5 on Monday 4 March. The line goes between Solbacken - Morö Backe - Northvolt Norra and Bergsbyvägarna Södra. This was announced by Skellefteå Buss in a press release.
The departure times for the line have been scheduled to coincide with two large production shifts at Northvolt. The line has been introduced to meet the need for public transport between the temporary accommodation at Solbacken/Nöppelbergvägen and Northvolt, according to the press release.
Skellefteå Buss also introduces several changes regarding the stops on line 80A and line 70.
From this week line 80A will no longer go to Morö Backe but instead continue along Torsgatan towards the centre. Three stops on Morö Backe will be out of action as line 5 will stop at Morö Backe. The travel time for line 80A going into town will be shorter.
However, for line 70 there will be more stops at Sunnanå starting from this week. Now the buses will be picking up passengers on Falkträskvägen, Laxgatan and Sunnanåskolan.
The changes are made in order to better meet the increased need for public transport in Skellefteå according to the press release.
