All Northvolt staff laid off: "Incredibly tough message"

Northvolt has around 5,000 employees in Skellefteå, Västerås, and Stockholm. Last Wednesday, the company filed for bankruptcy.

– Yesterday, Northvolt, through the bankruptcy trustee, issued an internal message stating that lay-off notices will begin to be sent out to all staff, Lundgren tells Ekot.

She further explains that, practically speaking, the notice period begins either immediately upon receiving the layoff notice or up to ten days later. For most employees, the notice period and wage guarantee will last one to two months.
