The Meat Us restaurant has become a bit cramped, says co-owner Niclas Hällgren. A major renovation of the premises on Tjärhovsgatan is now on the horizon, which Megafonen was the first to report.

– The big problem is that the place fills up so quickly. We have no room for people who just want to sit down and have a drink, says Hällgren.

The wind in the city center has also caused problems, he says.

– It has become windier. During the summer, we may have only between 15 and 20 days when there is no wind on the outdoor seating.

A concrete slab is currently being poured for the new section. It will be enclosed with motorized retractable glass walls. Something that will solve the problem of the wind, but still offer the possibility to sit outside.

– We will add 52 seats, a total of 70 square meters, says the other co-owner, Anna Ploysuksai.
