Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB previously held a land permit for development on Södertorg, which expired on June 1. The municipality decided not to extend the permit.

A new proposal is granting Nordvestor Fastighetsbolag AB the opportunity to develop the site. The plan includes constructing 90 apartments across four buildings ranging from four to eight stories. 

Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025.
