As the residential area will be completely new, the municipality will start to excavate water and sewer systems, as well as roads and bike paths. The planning is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024 and is expected to be completed by next autumn.
The planning is estimated to cost around three million kronor and will be carried out by the company Contractor which has a framework agreement with the municipality.
The actual excavation work is then expected to begin in the autumn of 2024 and a separate procurement process will be conducted at that time. Construction will take place in stages.
Once completed, the area will consist of 50 houses, 130 townhouses and approximately 70 apartments. The area is located in the far northeast of Morö Backe.
