Skellefteå municipality has submitted an application for a temporary building permit at Mycklesågen.

The chosen site, Myckle 24:1, was previously home to a sawmill that has since been demolished. While a large residential area is planned for this plot, a detailed plan hasn't begun due to a potential future ring road with a bridge over the river.

To expedite the process, the building and environment committee granted Chair, Annamaria Hedlund the authority to approve the permit once complete. The application isn't finalized yet, but a decision is needed quickly as the next committee meeting isn't until late August.

Parmaco will build and initially rent the homes to Skellefteå municipality for five years, with a cost of 174 million kronor.
