For those who want a discounted electricity bill, it's most beneficial to use electricity between 3 PM and 4 PM. During that time, it's the cheapest and costs -13.5 öre per kilowatt-hour.
Negative prices for electricity are generally uncommon but are becoming more frequent. Those with hourly contracts benefit the most from the low prices. However, consumers also pay energy tax and VAT on the electricity price, which means that the cheapest negative hour won't actually result in getting money back in practice.
