The elderly woman who had been missing in Robertsfors municipality was found dead on Saturday evening around 7:00 PM.
– There are no indications of foul play, and the woman's relatives have been notified, said John Ekersund, an RLC officer with the Västerbotten police.
The police department expressed their gratitude to everyone who participated in the search effort, acknowledging the significant contributions made by the police, armed forces, and Missing People.
The woman disappeared on Wednesday evening from her home in Norum, Djäkneboda. A large-scale search operation ensued, with Missing People organizing a particularly extensive effort on Friday.
To ensure safety, moose hunting was temporarily prohibited in the area where the woman was believed to be. The hunting ban was lifted at 7:30 PM on Saturday evening, following the discovery of her remains.
