A Norrlandskusten bus was involved in a collision earlier this morning.

Jonas Kempe, CEO of Connect Bus, the operator of the Norrlandskusten bus line for regional traffic, confirmed that company representatives have been on the scene gathering information since the accident.

– Based on our current understanding, the bus collided with a trailer that was turning right off the E4 highway, Kempe said.

The bus driver sustained minor injuries and has been transported to a medical facility for treatment. There were approximately five passengers on the bus at the time of the accident, none of whom were injured. However, one passenger using a walker reportedly suffered a minor injury while disembarking.

Kempe stated that he does not have information about whether the uninjured passengers were able to continue their journey but noted that the company's standard procedure is to provide replacement bus or taxi transportation if necessary.

– We will also be visiting the driver at the hospital, Kempe added.
