The closure of these anonymous accounts follows revelations from TV4's Kalla Fakta TV show a few weeks ago. Despite the far-right Sweden Democrats for years denying the operation of a "troll factory", an investigation revealed 23 anonymous accounts managed by the party's communications department, with 13 active on TikTok. These accounts have now been removed.
The Sweden Democrats are seeking clarification from TikTok regarding this action. Oskar Cavalli-Björkman, the party's press chief, declined to provide further comment on the matter.
When asked whether they plan to create new anonymous accounts or have already done so, Cavalli-Björkman responded:
– I cannot comment on that at this time.
