What's fun in town this Halloween

Halloween is being celebrated in several places around Skellefteå over the next week or so, and Norran English has details of some of the most interesting spooky events. How will YOU celebrate?

Sara kulturhus

There's a spooky Halloween costume contest at Sara kulturhus on October 31. All ages are welcome, and no registration is required; it's a drop-in event, so compete alone, with a friend, or why not with the whole family. The parade in front of the audience starts at 1:30 pm. The winner will receive a prize.

On November 2, there will also be a skeleton life drawing session at Sara. It's basically a life drawing where the model is a skeleton. In the art workshop, we will embrace the slightly creepy and create with charcoal, chalk, and watercolors. Admission is free and registration is not required. Ages 7-15.

Cinco 

On Friday night, October 27, it's Cinco House of Horrors at Cinco. The organizer describes it as a hair-raising Halloween party with traps and ghosts around every corner. There's also a prize for the best costume.Tickets can be purchased in advance at Tickster.com.

Exploratoriet

Exploratoriet is open during the autumn break, and there is a Halloween theme. From 12:30 to 14:30, the Witch Explora's Experiment Show takes place, where science and magic come together in a way that will take you on a journey beyond your imagination.

In addition to that, the Spooky Lab is also open, an open workshop where you can explore the secrets of the body in an exciting and eerie journey that will take you through the human body in a fun and educational way.

Mimis Dansstudio

On Saturday, November 4, Mimis Dance Studio in Skelleftehamn is holding a Halloween party. There will be a session for children aged 3-6 from 16:00-17:00 and another for children aged 7-16 from 17:00-19:30. The best costume will win a prize. You can register at their website, mimisdansstudio.se.

Lövånger

Lövånger Kyrkstad is organizing a murder mystery event this Halloween. Bring your friends to Lövånger and put your heads together to solve the mystery. It takes place on Saturday, November 4, starting at 17:00. Registrations can be made through their website, lovangergarden.se.

Byske 4H

On Wednesday, November 1, at 18:00, it's time for a Halloween evening at the 4H farm in Byske. There will be a barbecue, crafts, a treasure hunt and a candy shower. There is no need to register in advance. The cost for children is 60 kronor, and adults are admitted free of charge.

Nordanå

At Nordanå and Skellefteå museum, there are lots of holiday activities for the whole family - free of charge! Exciting time travel, spooky creativity, miniature painting and much more will take place next Wednesday and Thursday.

Solvik

On Friday night, October 27, a Halloween party for families with children is being organized at Solvik Folk High School. The evening will include a taco buffet, a spooky spider cake, drinks, coffee and candy bags for the kids. Costumes are definitely encouraged.

Trampolinhuset

Spooky activities take place at Trampolinhuset during the autumn break. The week includes contests, a masquerade disco, and a haunted tunnel. You don't need to book in advance; it's all about drop-in participation.

Boda borg

As usual, during the autumn break, Boda Borg Skellefteå presents "Boda Booooo" - where they do their best to scare visitors. During the day it's a place decorated for Halloween, but in the evening the lights go out and it's filled with creepy monsters and ghosts whose job it is to scare.
