Festival season continues in full swing in Skellefteå. This weekend, it's time for the Sävenäs Pop & Vis Festival, the intimate gathering situated at the mouth of the Skellefteå River, where the sea begins.
– This festival setting, beyond the abundance of talented artists, is truly unique and well worth the visit, says Tomas "Linge" Lindgren, the festival director for the Sävenäs Pop & Vis Festival.
The event is portrayed as a cozy, intimate festival focusing on local artists who, in some way, are linked to Skellefteå.
– This is a unique festival environment because it feels like the artists are performing in the sea, says Tomas.
This marks the eighth year that the festival has been hosted in the Kurjovikens sea marina. An important aspect of the event is providing young artists with the opportunity to perform and exchange experiences with established artists.
– This year, the range of music styles spans from folk and pop to hard rock, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. We've curated a genuinely diverse mix in our music lineup. It's important to showcase that a lot is happening in various places around Skellefteå, and we aim to attract people of all ages, Tomas adds.
