After the final on Friday, there was a party at the hotel, says Cimberly Wanyonyi.
– Some people gave speeches, I sang my final song, we just got together and were happy. It was a way for us to celebrate the program we'd made.
Since then, she has had a final lunch, changed hotels, and rested.
– It feels like it's Christmas and you're off work. The days are not what they used to be; there was a lot going on, and it was strange.
In the summer, the Diggiloo tour awaits.
– We'll have a press day for that, and then we'll go on a thank-you tour with some of the other contestants.
Before that she will come home to Skellefteå.
– I'm looking forward to coming home. To see my family and friends, to go to school and see my teachers.
On December 11, Cimberly will perform with her Idol friends at Sara kulturhus.
– It will be me and some others from Idol. I heard it's sold out; it's great that so many people want to come. It's one thing to see us on TV, but it's another thing to hear us live.
What will you take away from the time with Idol?
– Well, firstly, all the people and relationships that I've made during the autumn. But also that I can handle a lot more than I think I can. Not all my doubts have disappeared, but I have much more belief in myself now.
How was it to have your mother in the audience during the final?
– It was nice to have her there. I had a lot of people from home with me, which made the evening extra special.
