Elliott, a resident of Skellefteå, disappeared on November 28, 2022, sparking a widespread search and community involvement. The latest search was prompted by a tip from a boater who detected an unidentified object on their sonar near Sandholmen, outside Jävre.
Police divers and a tracking dog combed the area, but the object turned out to be a rock or another inanimate object. The search lasted just over two hours, concluding around 1 pm.
Jävre, located north of Skellefteå, has been a focal point in the search since Elliott's phone last pinged from a cell tower in the area on the night of his disappearance. A severe snowstorm that evening has led to speculation that Elliott may have accidentally ended up in the water with his car.
The public has been very helpful in the search, providing numerous tips and assisting authorities. Elliott’s mother, Anna Larsson, expressed gratitude for the community’s support and the police's dedication.
– Even though it’s incredibly awful that Elliott is missing, we appreciate everyone’s help and the police’s commitment to finding answers, Larsson said.
