On November 4, Skellefteå AIK traveled to Linköping and lost 3-0 in one of their worst performances of the season. On Saturday night, just over two months later, AIK welcomed Linköping to their home and scale of revenge was comprehensive as the Västerbotten side put on one of their best performances of the season, dominating the visitors from start to finish.

After 40 minutes of play, AIK had racked up a whopping 42 shots on goal and scored four goals, with Jonathan Johnson and Jonathan Pudas each contributing three assists. Twice the duo set up goals for Oscar Lindberg, and in their third collaboration Filip Sandberg found the back of the net.

In the closing moments of the first period, AIK scored twice on the same power play after Lance Bouma was given a match penalty for slashing in a foul that forced Tim Barkemo to leave the game. Shortly after Barkemo's injury, Frans Haara also left the game after the young defenseman collided with the boards following a clash.

AIK continued to dominate play in the third period, and ran out easy 7-1 winners.
