Robertsson drags AIK back into the final series

It was scoreless for a long time in Småland, but in the final minutes of the third period, both teams scored two goals each. Then, after a goalless period 4, Simon Robertsson became the great match hero in the fifth period when he made it 3-2 to Skellefteå AIK.

Oscar Möller equalized at 2–2 after 57.32, beautifully played in by Jonathan Pudas, and took the match to another overtime struggle in Småland.

Skellefteå is back in the SM final series against Växjö, after a thrilling five period drama turned their way with a Simon Robertsson winner.

In the first period, AIK played a lot better than in the previous match, Växjö's 1–0 win in Skellefteå.

But they still could not beat Växjö goalkeeper Emil Larmi, who continued to save everything that came his way.

At the end of the  first period, he had not conceded for 160.04 minutes - that is, just over eight periods. Remember, the first final went to extra time and contained almost five full periods.

As the match progressed Skellefteå's grip tightened, but they still could not score, even though both Joakim Lindström and Oscar Möller hit the post.

After two periods, Växjö only had six shots at the opponent's goal - despite being at home. But AIK with18 shots just couldn't convert their dominance to goals.

Then, Skellefteå took the lead only after seven minutes of play in the third period, through Pär Lindholm, but Dan Sexton quickly equalized for Växjö.

After 16.25 of period three, Joel Kellman gave Växjö the lead.

Less than a minute later, Skellefteå's Oscar Möller equalized. Overtime beckoned.

Then, in the fifth period, Simon Robertsson became a hero. For now.

The next match is played in Skellefteå Kraft Arena on Saturday at 15.15.
