10,503 Gothenburgers came to see Frölunda and the return of Andreas Johnson. The home side got off to the best possible start, scoring with their first two shots on goal. AIK was ruthlessly efficient on the powerplay, but it wasn't enough. Frölunda won the game 4-3 in overtime.

This match was all about the home team's ruthlessness. Frölunda's first two shots on goal both went in.

The goals were against the run of play as AIK actually showed good energy and aggression early on. But, unlike Frölunda, AIK had trouble scoring. The team had twice as many shots on goal, 10 to Frölunda's 5, but the scoreboard read zero when the first break came. Jonathan Pudas even missed an open goal

The goals finally came for AIK, when Filip Sandberg and Dylan Sikura tied the game. Frölunda quickly regained the lead, but after three periods the score was 3-3.

The game went into overtime and, crucially, Jonathan Pudas was sin-binned, and with the man advantage Frölunda scored the winner through Henrik Tömmernäs,  and AIK had their recent winning streak broken.
