Skellefteå AIK left Simon Robertsson at home due to new ailments. Young Clemensnäs talent Oskar Voullet got the chance to play in an advanced role alongside Pär Lindholm and Dylan Sikura.
From the off, AIK were very lively, with Linus Lindström scoring a rebound goal after just over two and a half minutes. It was a dream start for AIK, who had struggled to find the back of the net in previous games.
Leksand, from Dalarna, have had a tough start to the season although they played well last night and had clear chances, with two breakaways in the first period.
But AIK's goalie, Linus Söderström, was in the same fine form he was in this time last year.
The second period was quiet but the third period saw two more goals, as first AIK's 18-year-old super talent Axel Sandin Pellikka scored his third goal in three games.
Leksand had struggled desperately to create any good scoring chances in their pursuit of the 2-0 deficit but when they got their second power play, they managed to stain Linus Söderström's clean sheet with a goal from Oskar Lang, which ensured it would be a battle until the final whistle.
But AIK held out and collected their second SHL win of the season.
