– Beating ‘Löven’ is always special, said Lindholm after the game.
A back-and-forth affair that saw eleven goals scored, the game went to overtime for the second consecutive year. Lindholm, who also clinched a win against Björklöven in overtime last season, was the hero once again.
– It feels great to do it again, Lindholm said.
– These preseason games are important, and winning is always a boost.
While happy with the victory, Lindholm was critical of his team’s defensive performance.
– We gave them too many chances. If we want to be a top team in the SHL, we need to tighten up defensively.
– For me personally, the Löven rivalry is the biggest there is. Of course, it would be fun in a competitive setting, but on the other hand, I’m glad they’re where they are. This is the only chance you get each year to face them, so it definitely feels very good to win.
