What: Skellefteå Pride Parade
Skellefteå's Pride was one of the first Pride festivals in Sweden and was held in 2014, and attracted a remarkable 2,500 people. Saturday's Pride Parade is, for many, the highlight of the week. Come as you are, or come dressed up, come old or young, LGBTQ+ or straight! Come and honor the struggle to be who you want and love who you want. Come and march for all those who can't.

Al Pitcher has been on the Swedish scene for 13 years now and his English-language shows are hugely popular with Swedes and newcomers alike. He's playing two shows in Skellefteå on Saturday night - the 16.00 show is the only one with tickets left. So be quick!

What: Improvised Melodifestivalen
If you can't bear watching the real Mello, try this instead! The show features artists improvising song titles suggested by the audience. In Swedish and English, probably too, if you shout loud enough. You can mingle before the show, too, as The Wood Hotel will serve drinks and light snacks in the South foyer. The mingle will open 45 minutes before the show begins.

What: The Midwinter Festival
A lovely evening of music with the EFS church choirs! The choirs offer a wonderful mix of styles: The children's choir, HOPP, the adult choir Vox Nova and the gospel choir Trinity. Swedish "fika" will be served after the concert at the Arken restaurant.

What: Sundays at the museum
Broaden your horizons with a lecture, or a quiz walk in beautiful surroundings or give the children an introduction to culture and history through age-appropriate workshops and crafts? Between 10.00 and 16.00 there will be a quiz walk for children and adults, in Swedish and English.
Between 11.00–15.00 the Lost World is a playful workshop for children and adults of all ages.
"A city begins to grow around Vilsevärlden's new factory. The city needs a name and a municipal council must be elected. The pages of the new daily newspaper echo empty. There's a lot to do".
Together we build a fantasy city of cardboard and paper, with room to explore urban planning and democratic values in an easy and undemanding way. Location: The educational space Köket, on the second floor of the museum building.
