Skellefteå AIK entered the fourth semi-final 2-1 down to Örebro in this ever-unpredictable series.
AIK also had the uncomfortable statistic of having lost seven straight games against Örebro in their Behrn Arena.
But AIK came flying out of the blocks, attacking right from the start, but somehow failed to score in the first period. Instead, Örebro had a couple of great chances but came up against the rock that is Linus Söderström, Skellefteå's formidable goaltender.
It was going to take a great goal to break the deadlock between these two tenacious teams, and it finally arrived 34 minutes into the match when Arvid Lundberg tricked the whole arena into thinking he was going to shoot, but instead found Elias Salomonsson, who steered the puck into a completely open goal.
Thereafter, both teams had chances to score but were denied by terrific goalkeeping, and AIK came out victors.
The series is now finely poised at 2-2. The next game is on Sunday in Skellefteå. Who knows what's going to happen next?
