"One Evening - One Country" - Slovenia

Skellefteå's rich tapestry now boasts over 120 nationalities! To foster understanding and connection within this diverse community, "One Evening - One Country" was launched late last year. This collaborative initiative by Medborgarskolan, Welcome House Skellefteå, and Expats & Friends provides a platform for new and established residents to explore each other's cultures.

"One Evening - One Country" was launched late last year, to showcase newcomers to Skellefteå from different countries. Last week Slovenia was the focus. A captivating presentation explored the rich heritage and traditions of this central European nation (did you know this country of 2,000,000 people has 80,000 beekeepers and around 50 dialects?).

Local Swedes actively participated, enjoying the informative session, connecting with newcomers, and savoring Slovenian cuisine. Norran documented the event with photos. See them all below.
