Two early goals in the third game gave Skellefteå the upper hand in the quarter-final series against Rögle.
The team's veterans Oscar Möller and Joakim Lindström each broke their goal drought and were behind the 5–0 victory, a scoreline that was slightly flattering to AIK. Rögle created their own chances but were repelled by an excellent performance by Skellefteå goalie, Linus Söderström.
Skellefteå have now taken the lead 2–1 in the best-out-of-seven series, and the momentum is with them. Rögle will probably have to win the next game at home in Ängelholm on Wednesday if they are to stay alive in the quarter-final series , but this is still a finely-poised series.
