The roadwork affects the area from Klostergatan to Västergatan.
The project will affect accessibility for nearby residents and students.
– The section closest to the school will be addressed last, and we aim to complete most of the work during the summer break, says Andreas Johansson, operations manager of streets and parks in Skellefteå municipality.
– However, there will be some disruption to students' usual route to school. We'll be providing clear signage with alternative routes.
