Samhällsbyggnadsnämnden (the Community Building Committee) has approved a complete makeover for a playground in Skellefteå municipality. Located on Bäckmansgatan in Ursviken, Ripan's Playground will undergo a transformation and be renamed Györame, incorporating a Sami theme.

The renovation will cost approximately 2.2 million kronor, exceeding the typical playground budget due to the custom-made play equipment required for the theme. 

The new features will include a giant reindeer slide and structures resembling mountain huts for children to climb, crawl, and explore. Notably, children of Sami heritage have contributed to the design process.
