A preschool in Luleå was placed in lockdown on Tuesday after three masked individuals were observed outside the gate.
One of them appeared to be filming the building, according to the NSD newspaper.
The principal told NSD that staff members noticed the three individuals, who were wearing hoods that obscured their faces.
– One of our teachers believed that one of the individuals was filming the preschool, which prompted us to initiate the lockdown procedure, the principal explained.
Parents were notified.
– We adhered to established protocols, which included locking all doors and contacting the police, who arrived at the scene. There is no cause for significant concern, and we anticipate returning to normal operations tomorrow, the principal said.
Åsa Mjörndal, a spokesperson for the police's regional command center, told NSD that officers responded to the call but did not locate anyone and did not file a report.
