According to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, the risk is currently small that the problems caused by some American, and one Swiss bank's, problems will spread to Sweden.

– We assess the risk as small, said the Director General of the Financial Supervisory Authority, Daniel Barr, when he arrived at this morning's specially convened meeting of the Financial Stability Board.

He emphasizes that the authority follows developments closely.

Riksbank Governor Erik Thedéen did not want to comment when he arrived at the Ministry of Finance, where the meeting is being held.

It is Financial Markets Minister Niklas Wykman (Moderates) who called the authorities to the meeting.
