Arbetsförmedlingen will lead the application process, which could secure up to 160 million kronor.
“The Northvolt layoffs have had a significant impact,” said employment and integration minister Mats Persson, in a press release.
“We want to ensure that those affected can access support to enhance their skills and find new jobs.”
The funding will come from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF), with Sweden contributing 40% of the project costs.
