Boliden's third-quarter result was 2,999 million kronor, an increase of 1,059 million kronor compared to the same quarter last year. Revenue reached 22,193 million kronor, up by 2,797 million kronor from the third quarter of 2023.

– Our mine production during the quarter has been strong. Similar to the previous quarter, we see excellent production in our Finnish smelters, writes Boliden's president and CEO in the quarterly report.

In the report, Boliden highlights the record-high enriched volume in Garpenberg. They also mention that expansion projects in the Boliden area and Odda, along with the dam project in Aitik, are nearing completion. The Kankberg mine set a new quarterly gold production record.

Regarding the construction of a new electrolysis plant in Rönnskär and the paste and dewatering facilities in the Boliden area, progress is on schedule. Additionally, preparations are underway to resume mining production at Tara.

– I am pleased with how the second half of 2024 has started. Many of our units are showing strong production, and we have made progress on several of our investment projects. At the same time, most metal prices rose towards the end of the quarter, writes Mikael Staffas.

He notes that the demand for zinc, copper, and the bimetals Boliden produces is expected to improve as sectors such as the construction industry begin to recover.
