The brothers in Skellefteå were subjected to a major surveillance operation after the police had strong suspicions that they were involved in criminal activities.

Covert camera surveillance was carried out, including in stairwells, and public surveillance cameras in the pedestrian tunnel between the city center and Norrböle were checked.

An alert was raised when one of the brothers headed for a large hashish stash, weighing over four kilograms, in a forest area in Norrböle. This was captured on film by the police. What the brothers did not know was that the police had already switched the drugs.

Now the brothers have been convicted by the Skellefteå District Court for their involvement in this drug offense and two other offenses involving smaller amounts of drugs than what was seized in the forest area in Norrböle.

Both brothers receive the same prison sentence of one year and ten months.
