Tips for activities for children and young people

When the weather has been as wet as it has recently, parents are often stuck for options to keep their children occupied. And the forecast isn't promising any better weather, so here are some indoor adventures for kids on school holiday.

We may long for rain, whether we’re farmers or sweaty holidaymakers. But if it goes on for too long we will get ants in our pants and at that point Trampolinhuset at Solbacken in Skellefteå could be an alternative.

– The worse weather the more people normally come to us, says Marcus Marklund, who is the owner of this facility which is open all year round.

– But during the holiday season the weather matters less actually, many visitors will come anyway. Many of them are tourists, especially from Norway, he adds.

...then Hugo lets go and lands softly.

This turns out to be true: Norran visits on a warm and sunny day but there are still quite a lot of jumping, bouncing and balancing people.

The facility is not suitable for the youngest children.

– We recommend that you are older than five to jump with us.

– There is no upper age limit. Adults can also jump, we’re really a place for the whole family, says Marcus Marklund.

Sisters Maya and Annie Stensland enjoyed themselves royally. They are from Fauske, Norway.

In order to jump you must, for safety reasons, wear grippy rubber socks which can be bought if you have not brought your own.

Entrance is paid per hour and only for those who are jumping. If you are just accompanying someone you can come in for free.

– Most people spend one or two hours here. But we also sell cards for ten entries and annual cards, says Marcus.
